Okay, before everyone forgets even watching them (I know I will) ...
In other news, caught the premiere of K-Ville last night. Hadn't planned on watching, but I did want to catch the scenes of NOLA. And I think it's admirable that they shoot on location almost exclusively and reportedly use locals for the vast majority of their crew. Unfortunately, they could use some better writers. The hook (cops! In a tough environment! One has a mysterious past! Plus gumbo!) isn't enough during this competitive TV season to keep people watching. And FOX is notorious for pulling the hook hella early.

girl_about_town! Welcome to the 30s, which are the new teens. Plan on sneaking cigarettes and TP'ing someone's house this weekend.
- Seacrest, in! He disappointed me a little bit, I must say. And his tie was a major problem.
- Katherine Heigl has dropped some pounds - I preferred her curvier, but we're in a society where fecking Keira Knightly whines that she is "twice the size of most Hollywood actresses."
- Wayne Brady/Rainn Wilson/Kanye West bit. Contrived, but funny. I'm glad (and RELIEVED) that Kanye doesn't always have to take himself so seriously. Also? No idea the man was so wee.
- Jaime Pressley, really? Over Vanessa Williams and Jenna Fischer? Okay. Joy has the whole I'm-a-hot-chick-who-is-crass-and-funny thing going, sure, but Pam Beasley is witty, vulnerable, and nuanced. Plus I still resent Jaime for revealing a*shole tendencies in an early season of Punk'd.
- Best supporting actor - comedy. Wow, what a crop. I would have been happy with anyone but Jon Cryer (sorry, Ducky). Piven deserved it, but so did Neil Patrick Harris (probably my first choice), Rainn, and even Kevin Dillon.
- Speaking of Ducky, can someone get James Spader on a de-puffication diet? He is making me depressed.
- Sally Field? I still like her. I really like her. And I loved her in strapless pink.
- Sopranos acting-category shut-out surprised me, particularly w/r/t Edie Falco.
- 30 Rock win! Yay! Love The Office a teeny bit more, but 30 Rock needs all the cred it can get to survive. Hopefully this means the Peacock will keep it on the air for at LEAST another two seasons (or 1-1/2 like Arrested Development got.)
- Jersey Boyzzzzz.
